Optical Design
Through exposure to countless challenges in both, the private and the public sector, our highly skilled team of optical and mechanical engineers has accumulated expertise, know-how and technological finesse second to none. Our commitment to quality and precision has given us the opportunity and pleasure of working with many renowned companies in all aspects of business including industry, medicine, military, broadcast and cinema.
Simply put, our primary core competency is designing and developing optical and machine vision solutions anywhere they are required.
We will work with you to design an initial concept and then our qualified optics specialists, with many years of experience, will take care of the calculation of your lenses in Zemax or CodeV until they optimally meet your requirements.
Mechanical Design
IB/E has a highly qualified team of technicians, designers and technical draughtsmen with many years of experience in the development of technically sophisticated customized solutions. So they will turn your vision into reality.
Your vision of the concept will be realized in the 3D software and as soon as you are completely satisfied, up to the lettering, everything will be put on paper with all the necessary detailed constructions and illustrations so that it can be handed over to our production.
We are happy to realize all color and engraving requests as far as possible; the finished model will correspond as closely as possible to reality.
Optical Coating Design
Our latest achievement is the Optotech OAC–25 Plus coating machine.
This gives us the opportunity to test optical coatings that we have designed ourselves before they are externally assigned or, in the case of individual pieces, to coat them directly onto the finished lens for assembly.
If you like an individual coating on your system we can make that happen now!
The machine is suitable for small series only.

Since the company was founded in 1992, IB/E has been fortunate enough to work with many well–known companies on very interesting projects in addition to our own product range.
There were companies in the medical sector like Kappa, Alcon/Ciba Vision, Orametrix, Schölly, CyBio or HSW, in the military sector Diehl or Krauss–Maffei, in the aerospace sector DLR or Toshiba, in the automotive sector Steinbichler, Audi, Mekra Lang or Siemens or in the industry sector BOSCH, Siemens, Thermosensorik, Plansee, PCO or ZF Passau.
After we entered the cine sector, we were fortunate enough to work with companies such as ARRI Rental, Tribe 7, SecondReef, Lensbaby, Panavision and Angenieux on products like the ARRI Prime series or the Blackwing7 series.
