Assembly

Cleanroom

All optical products manufactured at IB/E are processed in the clean room. The clean room is only used by employees who have been trained accordingly and who have many years of experience with this type of work. Our staff has also been with us for many years. We currently have 6 working boxes, each separated and totally black so they have no stray light while inspecting and assembly.
Our cleanroom is a closed room, only accessible via an airlock and a preceding personnel airlock. All employees must work with a suit, head protection, face mask, special shoes and of course gloves.
The material reaches the clean room via 3 material locks in closed and washed boxes. While assembling the products the staff has various different light sources to check the cleanliness.
The final quality control is also in the clean room which is why a special lamp was designed with which any dust particles are even more visible (similar to a projector lamp).

Mechanical Assembly

Over the years, IB/E has been able to gain more and more experience in assembly.
Starting with small, simple telecentric lenses, through complex image processing systems or testing systems to zoom lenses in medical technology.
Since entering the cine world, we have continuously developed in terms of the team of assembly workers, technicians and electrical engineers, as well as the necessary tools and equipment that enable quick, easy and efficient assembly.
'German precision' does not just stand for production, but especially for assembly, where precise adjustments and readjustments are made, where adjustments are made to within a few 0.01mm until everything fits.
'Made in Bavaria' is handcrafted and with attention and love to detail and product.

Mechanics painting

At IB/E, delicate handwork is particularly important when it comes to color painting.
Whether it's scales, front covers or other rings – we only want to hand out perfectly coloured rings. Our specialists handles engravings in all sizes, shapes and colors.
With a brush or syringe – each engraving is designed so that it is perfect and then hardend in the oven.
We have standard colors such as white, red, yellow, green, blue and black, but we can also possibly create other colors. Don't be shy to ask.

Lens painting

Getting really black and evenly black painted lenses from lens manufacturers is difficult, as many do not even offer them or cannot.
At some point we took on the problem ourselves.
We modified an existing machine, created software and programming with the help of our technicians, learned about paints etc. thanks to tips from close optics suppliers, and today we paint all of our installed lenses ourselves.
After the initial inspection, white protective paint is applied, which is then carefully removed from the surfaces to be treated.
The paint is then applied and hardend in the oven.
After another check to see whether rework is necessary, the protective paint is removed and the painted lens is ready!
You see – even the smallest things are hand–made at IB/E.
